Hamilton City Council food scraps recycling
The collection of Hamilton residents' food scraps has been put on hold as Omicron affects council staffing levels. The small green bins won’t be collected from March 2, so that staff can focus on other kerbside rubbish, like glass, mixed recycling and rubbish, Hamilton City Council’s Trent Fowles said. While the food scraps service is not operating, residents can take food scraps to the Lincoln Street Refuse Transfer Station free of charge for a contactless drop-off.
