The Mission at Orange

From 11:59pm tonight all of NZ will move to the Orange traffic light setting.

What this means for the Mission

The following will not change:

  • Split staffing rosters will continue to be required until further notice.

  • If you are unwell you still need to get a RAT, advise your Team Leader/Health & Safety Lead, and remain at home until well.

Face masks while at work:

  • You do not need to wear a face mask when working outdoors.

  • You do not need to wear a face mask for non-public facing work. For the Mission this means in any office or work space where you are with your team.

  • However, when working in close proximity with residents and rangatahi a face mask will still be required.

  • Ethos front-of-house staff will continue to wear a face mask, but masks will no longer be required for guests or kitchen staff.

When out and about, you must wear a face mask when:

  • on all public transport

  • in taxis or ride share vehicles

  • inside a retail business, for example supermarkets, shopping malls, pharmacies, petrol stations, and takeaway food stores

  • inside public facilities, such as museums and libraries, but not at swimming pools

  • visiting the indoor area of a court or tribunal — unless the judicial officer does not require them

  • at premises operated by local and central government agencies, social service providers, and NZ Police

  • in the public area of premises operated by NZ Post Limited

  • visiting a healthcare service, for example a healthcare or aged care facility

A message from Helena Harding – Health and Safety Lead:

As we move into Orange, we do need to be reminded that Covid is still very much in the community with currently 57 people in the Waikato hospital alone, daily cases are still changing and as your aware more movement around our borders with people coming in from Australia. Whilst we have had a number of staff from different hubs exposed to the virus we have managed to keep the hubs going due to splitting the staffing rosters to ensure we have backup staff available if and when required. This process is still required at Orange until numbers are reduced and your team are advised further.

If you are unwell you still need to get a RAT, advise your Team Leader/Health & Safety Lead, and remain at home until well.

Please revise your teams BCP, with a final copy to be sent to Health & Safety Lead Helena Harding.
