Parent Education

IMG_5227.jpg

Our parent education services aim to create a nurturing environment where wāhine and tamariki can embark on a positive journey towards their future. We place great emphasis on placing tamariki at the center of our work, as we firmly believe that healthy and sustainable communities are founded on parenting that prioritises the well-being of children.

Our team comprises a diverse group of professionals who are supported by a broader mission. This includes early childhood teachers, social workers, mentors, a cultural team, and chaplains, all of whom are committed to accompanying tamariki and wāhine on their journeys, offering guidance and unwavering support throughout their individual paths.

Central to our mission are a set of commitments that serve as our guiding principles. We are dedicated to developing personalised plans for both tamariki and wāhine. Each person's unique circumstances and needs are taken into account to create a tailored path towards a brighter future.

We work closely with wāhine to cultivate trust, respect, self-esteem, and confidence. Building strong and positive relationships is at the core of our approach. The well-being of tamariki is our foremost priority. We are committed to creating an environment where children can thrive and grow in a secure and nurturing atmosphere.

We aim to empower wāhine in their pursuit of a better life. This involves providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. We endeavor to offer a secure and safe home environment with consistent daily routines that promote stability and well-being.

We actively collaborate with whānau, hāpū/iwi, and broader networks to strengthen the plan moving forward. Community involvement is integral to our approach. We support wāhine in accessing appropriate external services when needed. This ensures that they receive comprehensive care and assistance.

We provide support and education for whānau to create homes that are safe and secure for tamariki. Building a supportive family environment is crucial to the well-being of children. We are committed to upholding the integrity and mana of all individuals. Respecting the inherent worth of each person is non-negotiable.

We acknowledge and respect all cultural beliefs and values, ensuring that individuals' unique cultural identities are honored and celebrated. We recognize and build upon the existing strengths of both individuals and their whanau. Harnessing existing capabilities is fundamental to creating positive change.

In conclusion, our parent education services are dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where wāhine and tamariki can thrive. We prioritise the well-being of children and empower women on their journey to a better life. With a diverse and committed team and a set of guiding principles, we are here to walk alongside families, offering guidance and support as they move positively into their futures.
