Whare Pukerangiora Opening

On Tuesday 18 September, Mahi Mihinare Anglican Action joined with Mana Services and Twenty20 for the opening of our new collaborative working space, Whare Pukerangiora. Our new space in Hamilton's CBD, dedicated to supporting and empowering rangatahi and their whānau through services that address education, housing, and social justice.

"Today isn’t just about the opening of a building. Today is about a new way of working, three organisations who are all passionate about working with rangatahi, coming together, pooling resources and experience to better meet the needs of young people here in Kirikiriroa."

Karakia, mihi whakatau, and waiata were led by Mahi Mihinare Kaumatua, Pine Campbell (Ngāti Porou) as the new signage was unveiled and the crowds walked through the new site. As we move forward, we invite you to join us in this work, whether through collaboration, partnership, or support. We believe that, with the community’s involvement, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our young people.

"We, that is Mana Services, Twenty20 and Anglican Action want to provide a place where rangatahi and their whanau can get the support they need. We want to provide a place where all are welcome, where all are honoured and celebrated. A place where we all learn together, a place where we find solutions, healing and opportunities together. We want to be a place where access to services and support is easy and consistent. Whether it’s support for mental health, addiction or advocacy, whether it’s preparing for employment, or support into housing, or even being able to sustain a home; support needs to be easy to access."
